By accessing and using the Leigh Layne website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.

Description of Services

Leigh Layne provides professional life coaching services as an ICF (International Coaching Federation) certified professional coach, including:

Individual coaching sessions
Remote coaching via Zoom
Educational content and resources
Blog content (“Life Under Construction”)

ICF Professional Standards

As an ICF certified professional coach, all services are provided in accordance with:

ICF Code of Ethics
ICF Core Competencies
ICF Professional Standards and Guidelines
Continuing education requirements for credential maintenance

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the confidentiality of your account
Use services for lawful purposes only
Respect intellectual property rights
Participate actively and honestly in coaching sessions
Understand that coaching is a partnership requiring your commitment

Coaching Relationship and Expectations

Professional Boundaries:

Coaching is not therapy, counseling, or medical treatment
We recommend consulting healthcare professionals for medical concerns
Sessions are conducted via Zoom and may be recorded for quality purposes (with consent)
All interactions follow ICF ethical guidelines

Client Commitment:

Attend scheduled sessions or provide 24-hour cancellation notice
Complete agreed-upon action items between sessions
Communicate openly and honestly during sessions
Respect the coaching process and professional boundaries

Confidentiality:

All coaching conversations are confidential per ICF standards
Exceptions to confidentiality are limited to legal requirements or safety concerns
Client information may be used for coaching supervision with identifying details removed

Payment Terms

Session rate: $75 per session (30 or 60 minutes)
Payment due prior to or at time of service
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged
Refund policy available upon request

Intellectual Property

All website content, coaching materials, and “Life Under Construction” blog content are owned by Leigh Layne and protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

Privacy and Confidentiality

All coaching conversations are held in strict confidence per ICF Code of Ethics
Session notes are kept secure and private
We follow ICF ethical guidelines for all client interactions

Professional Referrals

When appropriate and in accordance with ICF standards, we may refer clients to other professionals including therapists, medical professionals, or other coaches who may better serve specific needs.

Limitation of Liability

Leigh Layne provides coaching services “as is” in accordance with ICF professional standards and makes no warranties about specific outcomes. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services.

Termination

Either party may terminate the coaching relationship at any time with written notice, following ICF ethical guidelines for proper closure. Outstanding payments remain due upon termination.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will first be addressed through professional mediation in accordance with ICF ethical standards. If unresolved, disputes will be handled through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of California.

Age Requirements

Services for minors (under 18) require parental consent and follow ICF guidelines for coaching minors
Parents/guardians are responsible for minors’ compliance with these terms
Special considerations apply for teen coaching in accordance with professional standards

Website Use

No unauthorized use of our website or systems
No spam, harassment, or inappropriate behavior
We reserve the right to terminate access for violations
All interactions must respect professional coaching boundaries

Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use periodically. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
